Improvement in GFR from 5 to 23 in Stage 5 Dialysis Kidney Patient

A 35-year female presented with stage 5 kidney disease, renal failure and dialysis using home port. She was also recovering from COVID-19.
The patient presented to Wei Lab as a patient for a sudden diagnosis of 5th stage Kidney disease. The patient was told by her nephrologist to get her business in order as she would not live past 3 months. With her great love for her young daughter, this patient decided to look for other options and found us here at Wei Lab.
As her consulting physician I asked her to drive the 2.5 hours to see me in Stuart FL, which she was willing to do. She was prescribed the Kidney protocol with Wei Labs. As her practitioner I added Bai hu tang to rid her of the lingering COVID19 pathogen.
With monthly monitoring of labs, a change in diet and gentle exercise prescribed, the patient began to slowly recover. There were times of difficulty and what felt like setbacks during the process as the patient’s kidneys were rebuilding their capacity. Creatinine was watched carefully, herbs were added, some taken away.
The patient was diagnosed with dampness from a weak SP QI, Kidney vacuity, lingering LR channel fire from yin deficiency and heat in the UB channel all from a lingering submerged Yangming heat. Unable to get weekly treatment we kept moving forward with herbal protocol exercise and diet. The patient steadily improved. She worked all the time she did home dialysis.
Her labs showed a constant improvement in her creatinine and GFR rates. After 10 months on the Wei Labs kidney protocol, her nephrologist began to take note (her labs are below in a graph form from first treatment to last)
In November of 2022, I am happy to say this young woman came off dialysis and is holding her own. Her GFR is above a 25 and her creatinine below a 2.6. While her body now continues repairing with no dialysis the patient is remaining on her herbal protocol and continues to return to her prior health.
When advising her removal from dialysis and the consequent removal of her port her nephrologist apologized to her for his dismal diagnosis.
