Successful Migraine Headache Treatment
Patientís age: 41
Patientís gender: female
When patient came for treatment: March 2008
Diagnosis: Migraines (hemicrania), stiff neck, muscle spasms in back, neck, and body; nausea, stress, fatigue, 2-3 day headaches about every week, mild headaches almost every day. Any impact from MDís side: 5 years Tx with meds, virtually no relief

Components of Treatment Program: Craniosacral Balancing, Myofascial Release, massage, and Neuromuscular Therapy; herbal pain killers, muscle relaxers, and anti-inflammatories which she was able to stop after several months.

# of sessions in total: 13
Length of treatment program: 7 months
# of sessions per week: 2 Tx a month
Progress made by patient: 90% + recovery, few headaches, manageable stress, very little pain and spasms in body
# of preventative maintenance sessions: 4-5 x a year

Ultimate result: Greatly reduced HA, less stress, pain, and fatigue, virtually no headaches most of the time

Sustainability: Patient needs occasional treatments but is working with home stretching and therapy learned at our clinic
Perception of result by patient: A new lease on lifeĖno headaches
Additional info: This patient had TMJ involvement, upper cervical misalignment, neck tightness, and as a self-employed person she was working too hard. Intraoral jaw work, cranial therapy, soft tissue cervical release and establishing adequate range of motion in her neck and shoulders helped end her headache pain cycle. Some abdominal/visceral work was also necessary as well as health coaching.

Patientís age: 62
Patientís gender: female
When patient came for treatment: March 2011
Diagnosis: Tremors after hospital stayĖside effects of over medication by antibiotics, equilibrium problems, shaking of head, gastric problems, stomach pains
Any impact from MDís side: patient overdosed on antibiotics given during hospital stay

Components of Treatment Program: Herbal regimen with Chinese herbs for tremors, and diet alteration; hands-on healing with Visceral Manipulation, and Myofascial Release

# of sessions in total: 3
Length of treatment program: 8 weeks
# of sessions per week: less than 1
Progress made by patient: Reduction of tremors, improved equilibrium, less gastric symptoms
# of preventative maintenance sessions: none so far

Ultimate result: Pt. kept improving after visits with reduced tremors, less or no equilibrium, and no stomach pain
Sustainability: still improved at last report

Perception of result by patient: feels herbs restored her health
