Successful Healing of Elbow Tendon Tear
Male 17 years old. Tendonitis of the elbow from playing baseball as a pitcher in high school. Both medial and lateral epicondylitis of the right elbow were caused by pitching overhand on the high school baseball team. The elbow pain occurred after each game and became more intense. Then the pain began to occur during team practice. The most intense pain was located on the medial or inner area of the elbow. An MRI of the elbow found a partial tear of the medial tendon of the elbow.

Treatment consisted of chiropractic manipulation, therapy and nutrition. After six months a new MRI was performed showing the partial tear had improved. Training with weights along with chiropractic treatment, therapy and nutrition were utilized at this point.
The patient was able to resume pitching the following baseball season on his college team.
