Doctor of Oriental Medicine (DOM), Dipl. Ac. Dipl. C.H. (NCCAOM), utilizes acupuncture, herbs, tuina massage, Ayurveda, nutrition, homeopathy, enzyme supplemetation, darkfield microscopic blood analysis, lifestyle and exercise counseling in his practice. He specializes in the treatment of internal medicine disorders, pain management, womens health issues, adrenal and other hormonal issues, diabetes, hepatitis, immune disorders, parasite infections, and cancer management.
Dr. Robert Campbell started over 12 years ago studying Ayurveda, an ancient holistic system of healing that was developed in India over 5000 years ago. He had been in the insurance business selling life insurance at the time and found it difficult for people to qualify because of their health issues. The insurance companies just would not cover them because of high cholesterol, high blood pressure, diabetes, etc.
He discovered that in Ayurveda, there were treatments for all of these ailments that were entirely naturally based. He also experienced back pain at the time for which he thought had been normal to experience until he found many other people did not experience pain in their backs. He had taken some Chinese herbs at a friends suggestion that was for the bones & back. After taking them, the back pain had disappeared almost immediately.
Soon after he began studying Chinese Medicine, and studied under various famous herbalists and doctors including Dr. Michael Tierra, OMD and his wife Leslie Tierra, L Ac, Christopher Hobbs, Dr. Kezhuang Zhao, DOM, Dr. Kang, OMD, Dr. Liang, OMD and others too numerous to list. He also furthered his Ayurvedic Medicine studies with world renowned Ayurvedic physician, Dr. Vasant Lad, BAM&S, MASc. at the Ayurvedic Institute.
Other specialties of his, include combining Chinese, Ayurvedic, Native and Western herbs into custom formulations specifically for his patients, as well as a perspective combining Western scientific research with Chinese and Ayurvedic Medicine approaches in the treatment of diseases. Some of the diseases Dr. Campbell has treated successfully include women's fibroids and cysts, menopause hot flashes, cancer, liver disorders, cardiovascular disorders, allergies, skin problems as well as many others.
