Degenerative Disc Disease Treatment
A 36 year-old male patient presented with severe low back pain. He would rate it as an 8 on a 0-10 scale. This pain would cause him to miss several days of work as a construction laborer every 2 to 3 months. He was previously diagnosed with degenerative disc disease and severe degenerative joint disease of L5. He had been prescribed muscle relaxants and pain medicine. Ultimately, he was approved by a surgeon for disc replacement surgery. The patient wanted to avoid surgery if possible.
